"Building Safety 2025: Resilient Structures, Safer Futures"
Building Safety Month is a nationwide campaign led by the International Code Council each May to raise awareness about the importance of modern building codes and strong code enforcement. It highlights how safe, resilient structures are foundational to community well-being, economic security, and environmental sustainability. Each week of the month focuses on a key theme—from planning for natural disasters to promoting water and energy efficiency—all aimed at educating the public and professionals about the vital role of building safety.
At Earthly Infrastructure, Building Safety Month speaks directly to our work at the intersection of development and regulation. Our founder, Eric S. Cavallo, actively contributes to Virginia’s regulatory framework through his service on the Board of Zoning Appeals and ongoing engagement with state and local code initiatives. This firsthand involvement ensures that our company not only meets but helps shape the standards for safe, resilient development across the Commonwealth.
Building safety is essential to the health, safety, and well-being of every community. By supporting and adhering to modern building codes, we create structures that can withstand natural disasters, conserve resources, and ensure long-term safety for generations to come.
