Without going into all of the technical details, what I would like for Virginians to know is that Senator VanValkenburg and this advisory group have placed the safety of building occupants and the men and women of our fire service as our number one priority. R-2 buildings with single-stair exits are going to be done as safely as possible here in Virginia.
